Today, started off with us running Dad to the doctor to get IV fluids. He got too dehydrated over the weekend and needed to get caught up again. We dropped him off, then ran to the store to get him some soda water for when he got home and then hit Andrew's Tae Kwon Do class.
On the way, Andrew said he didn't want to go to class. I told him to go for a few minutes and if he still didn't feel like staying, we would leave. The boy never left - he stayed the whole time and loved it. I got to record his form today so he can start practicing that to earn his next stripe. It looks pretty easy and Andrew already had most of it down.
After class, we ran home for some lunch and schoolwork before we headed downtown to get my heart monitor put on. I have to do an EKG (done), heart monitor (on) and a treadmill test to see the cardiologist again. I can call him and ask one question but to see him I have to do all this stuff. Oh well, I can do it.
After my appointment, Dad still wasn't ready to come home so we went home and did some more schoolwork. The kids got a little spoiled while I was gone - they didn't have their full load of school to do and now that they have to do everything again and I check all day long, they were not happy.
It took us ALL DAY to finish school. Actually, Cairn and Skylar didn't finish until 8 PM and Andrew finished at 7 PM. I think they thought I would give up but I kept on them to get back in the regular routine. I also have them doing a few more things during the day to help out.
They all have to do their own breakfast and lunch dishes. I sprung that one on them and they don't like it much but they are doing it. It makes my clean up much easier for sure.
Dad was finally ready to come home at 4:30. He drank a little soda water and went to bed. Hopefully, the worst is over now.
Cairn decided to take a break from her piano classes. I think it is a good idea. She isn't as invested anymore. I told her she still has to practice everyday because she doesn't want to forget all the things she has learned over the years. The only way to remember is to practice. She was fine with that as long as she got to pick the music. I don't care, just as long as she plays everyday. I hope to get her into another instrument so she can continue to learn more music and music theory.
The rest of the week looks pretty calm as the weather is going to be crummy and I want to focus on getting back into our routine. We still have our classes and a couple playdates and maybe an ice skating event on Friday. We will just have to see.
