Finished the week

Last week was pretty uneventful.  Dad never did go to work, a very slow recovery this time.

We did schoolwork everyday.  The girls went to yoga on Tuesday.  Andrew went back to Tae Kwon Do on Wednesday and got another stripe for his kicks.  Andrew went to piano on Thursday and then drove downtown with me to turn in my Holter monitor.  Hopefully, I will get a phone call this week to make my next appointment.

Friday, we ended up going ice skating with a new homeschool group.  The kids really liked some of the kids and commented on how nice they were to them.  I noticed a lot of niceness myself.  We didn't stay as long as the rest of the group because I needed to head over to Andrew's old speech therapist.  I wanted to talk to her about his stuttering.

She says to keep an ear on it but not to worry too much unless he continues to stutter after 9 months.  She thinks that since he was so significantly behind in his speech to begin with that this late stuttering is along the same lines.  He doesn't have to think quite so hard about his sounds anymore so now the words are starting to come pretty fast and he can't always get them out as fast as thinks them up.

I felt pretty relieved.  I was really worried.

Saturday the kids and I went to a play, Winnie The Pooh.  We had a former Girl Scout in the play so we went to support her.  It was a great play and the kids loved seeing someone they knew.

Today, I did the laundry and planned for the week while Dad and the kids played on the Wii most of the day.  Hopefully, they won't be too motion sick when it is time for bed.

This is going to be a busy week with lots of activities (MOA, the Maya Exhibit, regular classes) and playdates (Wednesday and Thursday) set up but next week is the fun week.  No school next week - we are doing 6 weeks on and then 1 week off.  Next week is our week off.

Hopefully, everyone will stay healthy and it will warm up so we can get outside some.  Too much inside time.
