The family got dressed in their red, white and blue today.
Then Skylar and I got on our bikes to ride to the parade. Andrew and Cairn didn't want to ride so Dad drove them. It was an easy ride for us going down.
The parade was so much better this year than the last few years. There was no throwing of candy so people, especially children, paid more attention to the floats and people. When we got home, every kid could name 5 different things they had seen at the parade.
After the parade, Dad took everyone swimming, while I stayed home to clean up and finish making dinner for our party.

After swimming, everyone was starving but we had to wait for our guests.
We had a wonderful evening with Grandma, Aunt Trish, Bob and his daughter. We ate our dinner outside because the weather was perfect, played Wii Dance and traded stories.
We also talked about Independence Day. We didn't go see fireworks again tonight, nothing beats our July 3rd fireworks so we avoid the crowds and stay home.
Happy Independence Day!!
