Christmas Day

Everyone slept in but when they woke up it was time to go.  Here they come!!!
 They have eyed the tree.
The girls get right to work on their stockings.  While Andrew watches...always the curious one.

Andrew got a Nerf gun from Santa - he asked for 10 but only got one.

Now it is time to unwrap some presents.

Cairn got some stump pencils to go with her sketch book.

Skylar looks on wondering where her sketch book and stump pencils are...

Skylar opening some American Girl doll clothes

Skylar heading under the tree to find more gifts.  She does this several times in the morning.

 Came out safely this time.
 Helping Dad open a gift.

 Skylar opened up this shawl.

Oreo hanging out in the box - his favorite place.  Can't find Oreo - look inside a box.

Dad opening the gift that Andrew picked out...
a new remote control car.  Dad and Andrew's favorite toy.

Skylar went under the tree one too many times.  This time it fell over.
Mom caught it or it landed on Mom.

Skylar found her sketch book and pencils and got right to work.

Andrew still playing with the car.

Andrew helping me open the new POPCORN maker.

I love my new popcorn maker.  It makes making popcorn more like a movie or a party.

N and C show up to help us celebrate Christmas.  N sees all the Lego's Andrew had received and started helping us build.
C saw the rainbow looms and started teaching Skylar and Cairn how to do them.
Dad fell asleep during all the present opening.
Skylar still working on her sketches.
Andrew still has presents to open.  He stops opening presents as soon as he finds something to play with.  The first year he did this, I made him keep opening.  Then I reminded myself that I want him to enjoy his presents not just rip through them.  So now I just make a pile for him and when he is ready, he just picks another one to open.  It makes his Christmas last a long time.

In the afternoon, Grandma, Aunt Trish, Aunt Geralyn and Jim show up to help us with another round of Christmas and dinner.
The girls got a Barbie car and Barbie boat.

Andrew got a super cool Spiderman tent and sleeping bag.

Of course, the boys had to set it up right away.

We had a very nice Christmas back at home.  We spent the day opening gifts and eating.

We miss Uncle Mait, Jenny and the dogs but we are sure happy to be home again.  The kids were ready for bed by 8 PM and were asleep by 9 PM.  They couldn't keep their eyes open any longer.

Merry Christmas!!
