Pumpkin Carving

This year, I finally had my act together and I actually purchased pumpkins.  So today was the day to carve them.

During the day, we cleaned out the inside so Dad only had to help carve them.





 
Cairn didn't want to carve them when we did.  She waited until Dad came home.

Finally, Dad came home, ate his dinner and then he was ready to carve.

Skylar carved her pumpkin completely by herself.  She is our determined one - she always wants to do things on her own and in her way.

Andrew and Cairn got some help.





In this picture, the candle is lit inside the pumpkin and we had turned out all the lights - that is why the kids look a little wide eyed - the flash.

We had a great evening, giggling, encouraging each other and in the end we had cool final products = jack o lanterns.
