Girl Scouts a Singin'

Today was a regular day in the morning.  Everyone worked on their math, copywork, art and reading but Girls Scouts was a little different.

We went to a local music studio and had a free choir lesson.  Most of the girls had a great time and wanted to take more lessons.

First, they warmed up their muscles.

Then they learned Do, Re, Mi.

 Then they sang "My Country, 'Tis of Thee".  We want the girls to learn Patriotic songs and Girl Scout songs.

After our lesson, we did some planning for next year.  Many of the scouts are on Spring Break so we couldn't go a lot.

After the troop meeting, we headed to the library.  Cairn left with 30 books, I left with 42.  It always makes me laugh because people look at us funny when they see the number of books we leave with.  One man asked Cairn how long it would take her to read all those books.  She said, a couple days and he laughed.  Then he looked at me and I nodded my head.  "Wow," was all he could say.
