Ahhhh...oops!

Each day just gets better and better.  Today, all the kids slept in with Skylar being the latest at 9:30 AM.  Schoolwork was completed by 12 and then we were out the door.  I dropped Skylar at A's house, Cairn at Z's house and then Andrew and I went to piano.

But we hit a little snafu in between A's and Z's house.  I walked Skylar up to the door and then was chatting with my friend, A's mom.  While I was chatting Andrew came up to the door.  I continued to chat for a minute and then Cairn comes up to the door frantic.

"I locked the keys in the car and the car is still running." Cairn says.

"Ok, are you sure all the doors are locked?"  I ask.

Yep, they were all locked.  Then I said, "I wonder if there is a hidden key like Dad always leaves on the cars?"

Andrew stands proud and says, "there is a key and I know where it is."  He marches to the back of the car and says it is under there.

I don't want him to look under the car because the car is running and he is right by the exhaust.  I try to look but I don't know where to look so we head inside to call Dad.

It took a little work to get a hold of Dad because I had to call from my friend's phone so Dad didn't recognize the number even though I called repeatedly.  I finally called the front desk and had them look for him.

In the end, Andrew was absolutely right.  The key was where he said it was and when we called Dad back to let him know we had found the key so he didn't have to come home, Andrew was so proud.  You could hear it in his little voice as he told Dad the story.  Next time I will listen to him.

Andrew did great on his solo in class.

Andrew and I went back to A's house to play and chat.  It was a very relaxing and fun afternoon.  The sun was out a little and the weather was in the 50's so the kids played outside a lot.

We picked up Cairn, had dinner and the kids went to bed exhausted.

Tomorrow is a busy day for me with my treadmill test first thing in the morning, I leave the house at 7:30 and a haircut in the afternoon.  Plus Skylar has piano.  School has to get finished sometime in there too.  Ready for the weekend and Andrew's belt test.
