Today was a cloudy and rainy day in Wilmington. I thought it might just be cloudy so we headed out to run a couple errands. When we returned to the car after our first stop it was raining and rained the rest of the day.
We hit Target and Best Buy before heading home for lunch and warming up. We also skyped Dad with our new webcam.
After lunch we headed to a Train Expo.
The trains were very cool and one of them the kids were allowed to run the trains and push buttons to make certain things work. They had a lot of fun trying to figure out what they made run.
After the expo we drove around for a few minutes to find something else to do but it was raining and everyone was a little chilled so we went back to the house and started a movie.
For the rest of the day we stayed at home just relaxing and enjoying ourselves. The kids watched Polar Express and The Lorax.
Hopefully, the rain will stop so tomorrow we can go out for my birthday. I found a Christmas Open house and a parade to go to.

Catching up on the schedule, library show
We didn't follow our schedule exactly this week even though we did really well for our first week. I will definitely push it so we don't have a repeat of today.
Today, we had to clean the red bathroom, the hallway, the study and each kid had to clean their bedrooms. Usually Saturday would only be their bedrooms so it was overloaded today. In the end I had the girls work on the hallway together and Andrew and I did the red bathroom. Tomorrow we will do the study and the kitchen.
In between cleaning, I did laundry and the kids played. Cairn also had some schoolwork to finish. At 1 PM we headed over to the library for a show about nocturnal animals by the Denver Zoo. They brought 4 different animals.
Tenrecs of Madagascar
Western Screech Owl
Armadillo and a snake.
It was very interesting and full of kids. The kids touched the snake and then we checked out a couple books.
After the library we ran to the store to buy some chocolate because today is Chocolate Day. When we arrived we saw a bouncy house and several tables set up for food tastings. It was discover your local foods. So we spent an hour at the store trying all the different foods we could - granola, salsas, hummus, applesauce, probiotics and breakfast boost. It was a lot of fun and the kids did a great job of trying new foods. Skylar as always was my spicy taster. If I tasted it and said it was spicy she tried it. We did buy a couple things because we tried them and liked them. I had a tough time buying the granolas at $6 a small bag so I told Cairn we would make some. She absolutely loves granola and yogurt. Now that I have the breakfast booster it will be an even better breakfast. Now just to get the other 2 to eat.
By the time we got home it was starting to thunder and rain. I finished up my laundry, cleaned up all the dishes from the day and got dinner ready. We watched a super cute movie tonight - Miracle Dogs. It was about a young boy who finds some dogs and they can perform miracles. Andrew wasn't too excited about it at first because he really dislikes bad guys, as does Skylar but she will just leave the room, Andrew stays right next to me and screams, "turn it off, I don't like this."
When it ended, he said, "I am super glad we watched that. I liked that movie." He was so cute!!
No park tonight due to the rain, baths and early to bed so I got to work. It is kinda nice to have a little cooler weather but I am definitely not ready for the cold yet.
