New workout schedule

This week I started going to the gym again.  My heart has been doing pretty well with the nightly bike rides to the park and since we keep finding new parks to ride too we are going further away.  So I was doing pretty well.  Plus, we have also been doing a weekly hike with our homeschool hiking club and my heart has been keeping up so when our new neighbor invited me to go to the gym with her at 5 AM I decided to try.

Monday, I was up at 4:55 and D picked me up at 5:15 and we hit the gym by 5:30.  It was very quiet, not many people really.  I jumped on a bike and did 30 minutes with no problem.  I sat under a fan so I was freezing to death but I made it.  Then I went to the track to walk for a bit and then a great stretch.  I felt really good all day.  D invited me to go with her on Tuesday too but I said I was going to take it slow this week and only do every other day plus we had our weekly hike.

Tuesday, we had our hike.  We went to Meyer Ranch and hiked 3 miles.  It was a hot day while we were out.  Luckily, we were in the trees for a lot of it.  Skylar and Andrew are doing great on the hikes.  I remind them every time we start a hike that I can't carry them so they have to walk the entire time.  They do it - Andrew whines a little bit each time but it is getting less and less.

Today, I was back up at 4:55 and at the gym.  I did another 30 minutes on the bike, then walked a mile and then stretched.  Feeling really good and I have lost 7 pounds since July 9th.  Yeah me!!

I plan to hit the gym on Friday this week and then next week I will go 4 days with only 1 day off during the week.  I have to figure out someway to get to the gym on the weekend.  Feeling great!  Hopefully, I can get in the routine now so when the snow hits I don't mind getting up so early in the cold.  My body gets into the routine and loves the workouts so hopefully.
