Clearwater Marine Aquarium

Today, we were out the door to visit Clearwater Marine Aquarium where Winter and Hope live.  They are the dolphins in the movies, Dolphin Tale and Dolphin Tale 2.

This is Winter in her pool.

This was one of the many turtles that Skylar got to see.  I think she was a little overwhelmed with the number of turtles because she went through them pretty quickly.

We saw the sting rays in one of the outside pools.

Here is Winter with her tail on.

We also saw the otters (and thought of Hannah) and the pelicans.  The most memorable thing I learned was the temperature of the sand determines the sex of the sea turtles.
After touring the aquarium portion we took the trolley over to the new movie set museum to see a lot of props and scenes from the movie.  All the kids liked this part because they had the part of the movie playing at the exhibit so you could remember exactly what you were looking at from the movie.

After the aquarium, we headed back to our condo...

to get ready to go back to the beach.

Cairn didn't feel like getting wet today until she got to the beach and decided it was too hot not to get wet.  She wished she had worn her suit.

Everyone else was in the ocean, jumping waves.

It was another beautiful, sunny, fun filled day with our family.  We couldn't have asked for more.

  1. Skylar and I had a great time jumping the waves, especially the mommy smashers. Cappy
